Welcome To The Living Room Co-Design Workshop
In collaboration with NIFFO Galerie/Recycle Studio
September 18, 2016 / Rotterdam
20 migrants, refugees and Dutch locals -who never met before- worked together on creating the next Migrationlab Welcome To The Living Room, the 1st one to take place in Rotterdam end of October and the 10th since the start of our project! Through creative activities moderated by our Research Team the group focused on four main topics: location, design, storytelling and the importance of creating such a space of encounter in their city/neighbourhood.
The workshop took place at NIFFO Galerie/Recycle Studio, our partner for the activities in Rotterdam this fall. The Gallery is situated in Afrikaanderswijk, the African Neighbourhood, one of the first in The Netherlands to have a majority of residents with an international background, primarily consisting of Turks, Moroccans, Surinamese, and Antilleans.
